What to give my boyfriend for our one-year anniversary?

I looked at a lot of similar questions and answers for ideas, but I think I need things more specific to my case.

We are both 21 and I want to give him something special for our one-year dating anniversary. I also don%26#039;t want to give him the same types of things I%26#039;ve given him before:

-pictures of us

-a gift card to get a picture of us taken professionally (given last Christmas and he still hasn%26#039;t used it)

-poems I wrote him

-CDs I made for him

-a drawing of us

-a list of reasons that I love him

-that Hallmark valentines cat that talks

-his favorite cheese popcorn

He is romantic, but not much into tradition. He always gets me flowers, chocolates, etc, but says he wouldn%26#039;t like any of those things himself. He says a new airsoft gun or a part for his car, but those just don%26#039;t say %26quot;I love you%26quot; like I want them to!

I also saw an idea to cook dinner for him, which would be great except that we%26#039;re planning on going out to eat that night. We%26#039;re quite serious, planning engagement soon. Ideas?

If he gives you flowers and chocolates, he doesn%26#039;t sound to0 original or non-traditional either. Are you sure you%26#039;re not imagining him to be the way you want him to be? If so, you might want to think twice about getting engaged after only a year, or at least consider a long (year plus) engagement. But what do I know; if a girl gave me half the stuff you%26#039;ve given him in the first year, I%26#039;d have been scared off already unless you were really really %26quot;the One.%26quot;

Since he wants an airsoft gun or car parts, he doesn%26#039;t sound too romantic to me. A Guy like that would probably like an Xbox 360 or PS2, but you probably don%26#039;t think they say %26quot;I love you%26quot; though I think he would. Regardless, don%26#039;t get him those unless you want him to ignore you. An anniversary gift should be something you share or related to your relationship.

If you%26#039;re hot and he%26#039;s not uptight, a racy pic of yourself would be good, or better, a negligee for yourself with the promise of attendant benefits for him. Or you could go with man jewelry - engraved watch, engraved bracelet, neck chain with a charm that%26#039;s you%26#039;ve selected to remind him of you but one that doesn%26#039;t make him look feminine.
Reply:thats all nice and dandy, but remeber...hes a guy! guys dnt like flowers and chocolate. we like tickets to games, movies,anything sports(if we like it)...wat u gave him b4 is sweet, but....as a guy....i would b disappointed
Reply:Traditionally a one year anniversary should be something made from paper. So, how about 2 tickets to a concert or sports event that you can both enjoy.
